Nothern Ireland: Visiting Berkley, Mary, and Patrick slash great people and places

Dec. 22nd
Leaving Denmark for Northern Ireland.

On my way to Northern Ireland I observed the sky lights in Denmark and in London. Belfast didn't have any skylights that interested me.

Mary exposed me to this really cool potter. I need to ask her again what her name is so I can catalog her in my mind.

Dec. 23rd
Berkley gave me a tour of his really beautiful garden when I finally woke up. This photo is of him in his woodland that he planted.

After picking Patrick up from the bus station we went to Queen's University College. It reminded me a lot of Cornell and I almost didnt want to walk around the place because it reminded me of all the hard work I have done and that there is to come in Ithaca. Anyways Queen's is beautiful and this is the school where Berkley studied! It is a very prestigious where I have learned may

After walking around Patrick showd us to a little bookshop where Berkley treated us to warm mincemeat pies and tea. I really enjoyed the art work in the space too. It was really nice.

That night Patrick was very nice and introduced me to his friends from school and we went to over to their friends birthday party. Patrick played along to the birthday man's rhyme.

The sreets of Belfast.

This is the music shop of the great Terri Hooley

This is Terri Hooley and Patrick.

This is a letter from Bill Cliton thanking him for steering kids away from getting in trouble and involved in the War.

This is a regular Belfast meal. Lots of potatos.

This is the sun room at night.

Dec. 25th Christmas

I took this photo for Patrick to send by phone to his girl friend for Christmas.

This is Mary's beautiful christmas cake that I cant tell you how many times that I wish I was eating a piece of it when I look at this picuture.

Pat took this pic. I like it a lot.

After dinner everyone except Berkley and me sang Irish Christmas music. It was really quite beautiful and it will be a wonderful memory I will have.

That's Edith, a distant relative of mine in the painting.

Pat took this of me becaue I made a comment about getting my reflection in the picture seen right below so you can see that I was there.

hmmm I like this picture because this is doing the dishes. Mary asked Patrick to play but no harsh music. Then there's me taking pictures. Bad bad me

Dec. 26th Boxing Day

Patrick took this of me:) Peace

Patrick took this of me as I rolled down the hill :) I was trying how to use my camera because he seemed really interested.

December 27th

This is part of Berkley's beautiful garden. He planted those poplars and put in that gate. I had learned that his family use to own green houses and grew tomatoes for the city of Belfast. I guess having a green thumb is really in the family blood.
I had to get use to the driver being in the right seat. One of my first days in Northern Ireland I saw a little boy in the left seat and I thought 'what a weird country' and then realized he wasn't going to be the one driving the car. haha

This is a picture Mary took for me because I wanted to show Patrick that I was using the yoyo he gifted to me the night before. He had left for London that morning. I really enjoyed Patrick's company.
